The Hunter Pony Academy (HPA) is our in-house training program at Stal de Wielbraek, dedicated to developing the next generation of top, childproof hunter ponies for long-term success in the U.S. hunter ring.
All training, clinics, and show experiences are guided by top U.S. hunter professionals and USHJA Affiliates, ensuring each pony meets USHJA/USEF Pony Hunter standards. Trained by both junior riders and seasoned professionals, our ponies gain valuable kids-miles while developing consistent skills from the start.
From the Academy to the Auction
Most ponies from The Hunter Pony Academy are proudly offered in the Hunter Pony Select Sale (HPSS), giving buyers the opportunity to acquire well-prepared, professionally trained ponies ready to shine in their new programs.
The Hunter Pony Academy is based at Stal de Wielbraek / Wielbraek Stables in The Netherlands and is run by Sam and Robin Versteijnen ; a dedicated family team with years of experience in producing quality ponies for international sport.
